holiday house
i am in love with the holiday house pattern! the topiaries, the cardinals, and the hint of snow? perfection!
i want to experiment with the letters and maybe try adding my last name instead of the alphabet. i think this would also make such a sweet gift for friends or family around the holidays. even though i tend to be a bit stingy regarding who receives stitched gifts, this small size would stitch up in no time!
what do you think?
Hi Katherine,
ReplyDeleteI love the LHN ornament charts of the month!
I have collected all of them since they started though I must admit, I haven't stitched many. :-)
The ornaments would stitch up quickly if you want to make them as gifts. A different ornament for each person/family or make several of each pattern and give them for that year with the year on the ornament.
You could also stitch the Holiday House and just add the last name at the end for whoever is going to receive the ornament.
The biggest challenge is stitching multiples of any one pattern. Can be challenging though if you start in January, 2013, you will be in good shape for Christmas 2013! :-)
I'm not sure about starting for this year though you could always add the year at the end if you think you will make your goals. :-)

Love the idea of adding the last name! The year might be a cute idea too
ReplyDeletei totally agree! the year would be precious!
Deletei must confess I read your entire blog on the way back from Ft. Worth to Austin today. We were there for the TCU/Tech game and our anniversary. I have 2 sons that went to TCU. Anyway, I am one of Stephanie's stitching friends, and I had visited your blog, but today was a new record! I thoroughly enjoyed myself!
ReplyDeletethanks gretchen! we were cheering on the frogs from new orleans...what a game!
